Description
The Bee Kind Witch Apothecary uses Ethically Sourced and Sustainable 100% Pure Beeswax to make candles that are unique. These make for high-end, beautiful products that are highly coveted for the bright warm glow they produce and the magical natural benefits they possess.
100% Pure Beeswax candles may be more expensive; however they will burn much longer than all other candles of a similar size. A candle only has to contain 51% beeswax to be labelled a “beeswax candle”, don’t be fooled by clever marketing.Natural scent and colour
The Bee Kind Witch Apothecary 100% beeswax candles contain no artificial perfumes or dyes (which may cause harmful allergic reactions). When honey bees make their wax, it's actually an off-white colour, and the beautiful golden hue and natural sweet scent in the candles comes from the honey and nectar which inherently are mixed in with the harvest. Raw wax straight from local beehives is carefully collected and cleaned by hand, using no chemicals or harmful toxins. It is slowly melted at a low temperature to ensure it keeps all its natural qualities and tirelessly sieved and re-sieved until it becomes cosmetic grade 100% pure Beeswax.
Candle Care
The Bee Kind Witch Apothecary candles are engineered to burn down into themselves, consuming all of the wax when burned properly. Ensure you place your candle away from drafts or it won't burn evenly. Beeswax candles are drip-less, and have a high temperature melting point, so very little smoke and soot are produced. If wick is too long you may see a little smoke. A large wick smokes because it is melting the wax too fast and not burning it off efficiently. A large wick burns brighter and hotter than a close trimmed wick. For best results we use a top quality organic pure cotton hand dipped square wicks in a lii our candles. For best 'burn' results Wick Must Be Trimmed to between 4mm-12mm EVERY TIME you light it. Then let it burn 2+ hours at a time, until the melt pool nears the edge. Once it has burned down a little, if creating a small tunnel, gently fold the edge inward towards the flame to ensure that your candle burns all the way down with no waste.
100% pure beeswax will ‘bloom’ with time. This ‘bloom’ appears as a whitish matt covering over the candle. Some people mistake it for a mould or dust. It is natural and perfectly harmless. If you prefer a gloss look just wipe it off with a damp cloth. Keep candle wax clear of any foreign debris or dust.WARNING
